Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS)
The CDBS provides individual benefits for a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions.
The CDBS has a means test, which requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment.
At Florey Dental Care, we bulk bill almost all items on the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, which means by using your Medicare card, we send a claim electronically to Medicare directly. This means no out of pocket expense for parents.
For more information or to make an appointment for your child call us on 02 6258 2255.
Bulk Billed dental items refer to conditions that are covered by Medicare and its qualifying criteria. Children must be between 0 and 17 years of age during the year of treatment, and must be receiving a Australian Government payment such as Family Tax benefit part A. Most eligible families will receive a letter from Human Services stating their eligibility. For more information about qualifying criteria visit The Department of Health and Ageing website.
